Imagine leaning back in a chair to the point where you are balanced on only two legs – you have to really push back and get your weight back. You are pushing to get up, but you aren’t leaning back into it at all.

Watch your video in slow motion. When you do this watch your arms. See how they are bent. They should be straight. Watch your back….you see how it never changes from being perpendicular with ground. You want your arms straight and your back to stay inline with your downtube. This will get some weight behind your rear axle. You need equal weight behind your rear axle as in front of it. That is what creates the balance. You are not getting your weight back far enough because you’re not leaning back enough.

I’m in the same boat, but I get a bit further, like when I hit the balance point and slightly touch the brakes, everything falls apart. Like I understand the balance point but don’t know how to finesse it.
When I try no brakes I just loop out or not getting to the balance point.

Yeah you’re not leaning or pulling back enough. Looking like you are trying to use the power of your legs to get you there and that’s not happening.

You need to feel the point where if you didn’t tap the brakes, you’d go over backwards. The actual balance point is just before that, but until you go past it, you won’t know where it is. You’re too far forward in this video, it’s normal, everyone starts there.
