Hi there,

I'm looking to buy a bag for essential stuff/food during 50-100mi rides. I'm leaning towards a handlebar bag (more than a frame one) but I'm a bit worried that it may damage the material (my bike has the Aero-Cockpit – which is carbon).

Any recommendations of a bag that is gentle but also practical? Or any tips on how to ensure my handlebar remains scratch free?

Considering the Smuggler HC handlebar bag from Orucase

Thanks in advance!

I have the Rapha Explore bar bag that I use mostly on my gravel bike but also use it on my canyon ultimate. No issues it attaches to your bars via a Velcro strap and a lanyard around your head tube. Great piece of kit.

  2. hate to be that guy but don’t in you realized that by putting a bar bag upfront, you are basically un-aero everything that u have up front ?

i would get top tube bag or mini frame bag and jersey pocket pouch for riding with aero setup bike. even a small saddle bag or water holder bag is functional for just carrying snacks
