So I was an idiot and tried to pedal my 2024 C Line thru a corner at high speed. The right pedal hit the ground hard and made the back wheel pop up in the air and out from under me. Somehow I didn’t crash but the rear tire tube popped, the tire wall is ripped, and I came down on the seat hard enough to bend the seatpost so I can’t lower it at all. It’s not visually obvious that it’s bent unless you rotate it and see how it moves.

A couple questions:
-Should I be worried about damage to the frame? I am 200lb (91kg) if it’s relevant
-Is there a way for me to remove the seatpost at home without damaging anything else?

I think your frame should be fine but seatpost is done for, I think it may need chopping just near the frame below the bend and pushing out that way.

  2. leave a bit bottom seatpost in the frame and use steel saw to cut off the top. new / used seatpost is pretty cheap so yeah, I think the frame is fine as U didn’t crash. did u happen to underinflate the tires ? because that happened to me once that the rear gave in on the curve and I was almost loosing it. as I figured out later, the rear tire was way under-pressured and i was simply on the sidewall of the tire on that corner

  3. Check for a frame crack below/behind the seat post clamp. It’s unlikely, it can happen over time as a result of over-tightening the clamp as the shim abrades.
