Dope! I don’t know anything about that bike but if you’re gonna ride it, that’s awesome.
I’d definitely get some new grips or at the very least plug those bar ends. I’d probably get some new pedals too but that’s not as pressing.

Depending on how long it’s been there, you may need new tires immediately. I’d advise taking it in for a tune-up. They can lube/grease/air all the things for you.
From personal experience, i’ve noticed bike tires getting flaky and falling apart after 8 years.

Even if I couldn’t ride that I’d take it and make sure one of the kids in the neighborhood gets it. Looks like it just needs a quick hosing.

it’s a Decathlon Rockrider from the 2000s but I can’t figure out more, it says made in Spain.

Definitely check those tires for dry rot, usually evidenced by cracks in the sidewall. But other than that, it looks like you scored. I’m the same as one other commenter here in that I don’t know anything about this bike but it appears as if it’s a quality brand. I do like those fenders!
