Hi, I planned to start riding again after the winter. But the problem is that the upper joint connecting the back suspension and frame is squeaking alot. The frame is carbon fiber so I'm paranoid that it will get damaged if I start biking so I wonder how this could be fixed. Could you apply some grease or lubricant and how can you then avoid damaging the suspension?
Sorry if the English is a bit odd but thanks in advance.

  1. Over_Pizza_2578 on

Most likely a fucked bushing on the shock. If the shock itself hasn’t seen a service for a while, might as well do it since you are working on it already

  2. Pull out the bolt, clean the bolt and all surfaces in the pivot, then grease the bolt (avoid threads), reinstall, torque to spec.
