So, I converted my gravel bike to 1X. I used two different estimation/calculation methods to find the chain length, and they both came out the same. Maybe I just haven’t paid attention to chain length before, but it looks a little short to me.
I measured the length for a 34 tooth cog but the one in the picture is a 32, so when the 34 is installed the cage will be even further forward. Everything shifts as it should and I don’t have any chain skips or other problems.
