The X in this bike (and mine too) is much the same as the X in Volvo or BMW types… It means cross country (looks a bit like an off-road vehicle, but please NEVER actually take it off-road..) But seeing how I once did a whole off-road bit on my CBR900RR (either me or my satnav messed up. I think me, because come to think of it I wasn't using satnav when touring on my CBR.. Just an old fashioned list of towns you need to pass on the tank) and survived (it wasn't comfortable).. You'd probably get away with a bit of off-roading..
