Went into the shop to buy a new gen 4 Domane for $1,199, but the shop had this “lightly used” (their words) 2022 gen 3 for $850.
I’m worried the drivetrain might need more than a good cleaning. The front chainring hardware is a bit rusted, and dirty, and might be too warn?
Would you save the cash or go worry free and purchase new?

Unless you know how to diagnose it and are going to do the work yourself go with a new.
