DT hubs are the easy button.

Bontrager wheels are seriously not bad but seem to be overlooked.

  2. Chinese wheels. Virtually no point to buying western brands beyond brand value unless they’re on a significant discount.

  3. I just got a pair of Easton EC90 ALX with the vault hub. I freaaaaaking love them.

Plus lifetime warranty and crash replacement no questions asked

  4. My research has pointed me towards 9Velo, Yeoleo, or Elitewheels. Light Bicycle gets high praise too. No. 6 looks like a nice brand if you want to pay a bit more. I recently saw a company called aerohead that had affordable, well specd wheels, but there’s not a ton of info on them.

Elite, Super Team, XM carbon speed.

I got elite carbon wheels for $330 shipped and they’ve been amazing.

What do you want outta these wheels?

    Just be carbon? Aero? Width?

FWIW everyone who buys expensive wheels perceive them as amazing. The hubs also roll well.

Btw stock wheels you got are fine. Very little to gain.
