  1. Brilliant vlog as always, G ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
That trip through Yorkshire on Grand Central is so slow (but I suppose it gives you a chance to admire the scenery)
Hopefully you have better luck trying out the snack box next time you are on Hull Trains

  2. cracking video, thanks G! I have great memories of using the Hull-London service on a work trip back in the mid 80s…. full English breakfast in the dining car with table cloths and silver service! Bit different these days but your ticket was amazing value with a railcard. Definitely one to try.

  3. Knicker hooks!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ƒFirst time watching you G and what a pleasure, you made me smile ๐Ÿ˜ŠI look forward to your next outing ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Great video again G. Shocking there were no knicker hooks on that Grand Central train ! The livery on the Hull train was impressive. Thanks for posting.

  5. 1:29 I am the other one of those people as well, they look like they should have the Darth Vader theme played as they arrive
Plus we forget that they are the same family as your beloved 175s

  6. I've rode most the Doncaster-Bradford part of your trip with Grand Central, it nice if slow and as it hops on the TPR delayed at times. Just announced they getting Tri-modes so hopefully we see an improvement in service since some of the Class 180s leave some to desire in cleanliness and capacity. For ยฃ2 extra tho can't complain since it was that or Northern on that trip.

I've wanted to try Hull trains but never had an excuse to, I wouldn't wanna go to London alone and going Via Donnie to Hull seems a time sink I wouldn't wanna do with a friend either.

  7. A lot of interesting items on your Grand Central and Hull Trains journey from Bradford to Kings X. Also nice footage of the Halifax Flour mill and the Doncaster rivers. Thank you, great video โค

  8. Lovely journey train's looked comfortable and smart shame about the snack box better luck next time though really enjoyed the video well done ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘โœ…โœ…

  9. New subscriber from hindley, love your passion, been watching your vlogs for a while now, one question "your knickers on yer head", is that reserved for new stations? Keep up the sterling work. โค

  10. I've only ever been to Doncaster once. That was back in 2009. I was working there only for one day and have very little memory of anything there, until I saw you walking across that bridge at 6:36. Yes, definitely remember driving across there.

  11. Apparently Grand Central are to get new Tri-mode Class 8xx AT300s to replace the Class 180 Adelentes. And to see the Class 180s to be moved for storage or to be cascaded to ScotRail or CrossCountry.

  12. Two fantastic rides on both Great Central and hull trains sorry u missed out on the food u were looking forward too G. Thanks for getting my team Arsenal's stadium on your video too cheers G, till your next adventure ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿค—

  13. Great to see a video of you on my home turf! (When I'm not in Spain). Coincidentally my gf has just done a day trip to London from Doncaster, and went Grand Central there and Hull Trains back. She's not a rail geek like me but I did manage to get out of her which one she preferred and she said the Hull Trains was better. And also she didnt nick the last vegan snack box either! ๐Ÿ˜€

  14. As usual another brill vlog 'G'. Alway enjoy watching them. Been rewatching your expolring the north west,l think,at 64 memory starting to go a bit๐Ÿ˜…. But ยฃ2.10 for can of coke! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ.

  15. I was lucky enough to travel on Grand Central almost since they launched, I used to live in Halifax and initially for London Ticket holders, you were given a free cup of tea, but as a 6ft 6 individual, it was always the leg room that attracted me to them, that and really cheap fares.

  16. lovely video G lovely scenery as usual and your knowledge and enjoyment of train rides is great to see im glad you should Emirates stadium where Arsenal play thats my football team anyway thanks again
