Only if it’s very secure company parking would I be ok with this. You’re stuck with your primary lock counting on a cable or chain at best. Serious thieves would not have a problem with bikes locked to these racks.

They are good racks at home, but I wouldn’t think they make sense in a public setting. Not everyone can lift their bike up that high. Think about a smaller rider with a heavy cruiser. Plus there’s no way to lock the bike. Even if you secured the wheel to the frame, it wouldn’t take much for someone to pick up the bike and toss it in the back of their truck if there wasn’t good security camera coverage and controlled access.

Ask if they’re able to put some kind of wall anchor (like Hiplok wall and ground anchor) in place. That’s great that they have SOME kind of bike parking, but that’s essentially a free bike to anyone who wants one.

  4. Nice, when are they going to install parking spaces that are in 70° degree angle to save space?

  5. it makes no sense when there’s all that floor area available. I guess they picked the absolute cheapest rack option.

Im going to test it today with my heavy pedal- assisted electric foldable bike (20kg, I know it’s going to be hard to lift it)

  7. When there’s space for cars, but not enough space for one bike rack (even though there’s space in the photo).

When they were redoing our bike room at work I stood next to the maintenance guys and told them to remember how short I am. Luckily they’re great and placed the racks just at the point where I can put the bike on the back wheel and roll it onto the hook.
