Its a diamondback joker bike
I have this same bike passed down from my older brother, from 2002 i believe, it needs a new seat and it needs some work as its all rusted
Im not sure what things i do or dont need in getting into bmxing
You say it’s all rosted and needs some parts??
Maybe it’s better to have a look for a new one (or a good one from fb market)!?🤷♂️

Idk about race stuff but if you want to get into freestyle bmx, I would advice to get a more modern bike.

Probably best to grab something better off marketplace. Tons of deals to be had there.

It’ll work for a start. Use it until you can save up for a good complete later. It’s not going to be up to the spec that more modern bikes are. Finding parts for it is going to be a hassle.

I started on a crud bike like this, you may well break it on day 1 like i did but so long as you replace the broken bits with some durable solid parts, you will progress fine.
