mounting a center kickstand and both are a little awkward and wanted to get another set of eyes. #2 has more surface area on top but #1 is more centered. both will fit without issue

Id cut a piece off an old tube to put in between the frame and the stand and do #1
2nd sounds like it will be a tad more secure.
