I bought my Ripley AF used from a dude on Marketplace who told me he’d bought it for his wife, but she was diagnosed with cancer shortly after so the bike sat in the garage for 2 years. When we did the handoff, he asked me to send him shots of the bike actually being used for what it was intended for. Over the next 6 months I sent him pictures of the bike on a 200 mile bikepacking trip, and all the trails I took that thing down. When she beat cancer, they bought the carbon Ripley and he sent me a bunch of pictures of her out on it. I think it makes us all happy when the bikes are being used as intended.
