If it’s only going to be an aesthetic issue then I’d keep it but I just got it today and would rather return it unused if it’s going to cause issues.

I would take it back and refund you. But I definitely wouldn’t try very hard to sell you anything again.
What do you think is going to happen the rim when you start using brakes on it?
