  1. This is on an indoor trainer. Under load the chain skips only in the large front ring and falls off. Is ok not under load. No adjustments seem to help.

I did recently break a link on a sprint app n Zwift and the chain lodged behind the cassette if that has any bearing.

Weird thing is it’s been fine with no skipping or dropped chains until today.

  2. Yes.

Your chainring is worn out and needs replacement.

Prolly the chain too. And the cassette. Check your pulley’s while you’re down there.

It’s usually impossible to tell from a simple visual inspection, but yours is so bad that it’s easy. Yes, replace that.

  4. It was worn out a year ago… it is now in the process of becoming a smooth circle.

Very very very worn out, which means you’re riding the hell out of this bike. Good job 👍

  6. .105% life remains. Ride your current chain the furthest distance you fancy walking back home.

  7. That’s genuinely the worst chainring that I’ve seen in my entire life, and I’ve seen a LOT of chainrings!

  8. How the hell is your chain not falling off every time you switch gears or go over a small bump? There is basically nothing there
