Hi! I found this bike on Facebook marketplace for £180, the caption is “Specialized allez racing bike 47 cm frame black with white lettering light and fast! Had a complete repaire done with Halfords. Drives really well. “

It looks like it’s the Specialized Allez Compact 2013, but I figured this out from a reverse google image search.

Is this a good bike for me to start off with for getting into long distance cycling and triathlons?

Ps: don’t be alarmed by the frame size, I’m 5”2!

Check frame for cracks, dents, rounded bolts, front and support hub damage, etc. If everything’s ok and the frame is for your fit- take it. Every other part besides frame itself you can swap and upgrade sooner or later.

Please level that seat if you do buy the bike. My wrists and palms ache just looking at that seat angle.

Level the seat before you do a quick spin of the bike.

I would also look at getting a bike fit in a local shop

The shop would also be able to give a quick once over on the bike
