Apologies for another sizing post, but couldn't find anyone with quite the same mismatch as me. I'm unsure of what size to go for on an Ultimate since I have pretty short legs for my height. I'm worried if I go for an XS the reach would be way too short considering I'm on the border of S/M for height, but my seat post would probably be inserted to its max and still be a bit too high on a S. Would I be able to insert a bit past the max insert line? I was playing around with the Canyon sizing tool and it seems that it recommends a S for me starting at 30.5". Based on the 0.883 rule, I would need to insert 0.4415" past the max insert length for my inseam.

It appears you are looking for bike fitting help. Please make sure you post as screenshot of the Canyon size chart for your bike, with your point in it. See [this example](https://imgur.com/a/ALUfXyy)

  2. Thought I’d also add that I currently ride a size 54 CAAD12 and it has treated me very well, although the seat post is also probably a bit further inserted than average

  3. Do not get an S. If you inset the seat post past the minimum it’s unsafe and likely to slip or maybe even crack. Furthermore you’ll have little or negative drop to the bars even if you slam your stem.

The best way to get a proper fit with your proportions would be to get an XS or even an 2XS so the saddle height is correct and replace the T-bar with a longer one to give you the required reach.

It might be a god idea to visit a bike fitter before you purchase to ensure you get the right size frame and T-bar.
