Well the're not actually new, but i just installed them on a different bike and I'm having this problem.
So I slid them on the bars using rubbing alcohol which I've done in the past with good results, but this time for some reason the left grip, and ONLY the left grip, wont stop sliding around. The alcohol evaporated on the right grip within minutes and it froze in place perfectly. Any ideas on whats the problem is and how to fix it?
Can Anyone Tell Me Why Only One Of the Grips I Installed Is Slipping?

just let it stay for a while, it will evaporate too. I used too much on mine and it was like that for almost 1 day.
I usually do a pass with Electrical tape, then use brake cleaner to install grips. Makes it stick real good, plus the added thickness from the tape
Pull the grip off and clean it and the bar. If that doesn’t work you could try hairspray then let it dry overnight. Easy solution is to buy lock-on grips.
It’s probably just still wet or there’s some sort of grease or oil on the bar there. Check after letting it sit overnight and if it’s still loose then remove it, clean the bar and the inside of the grip, and install again
I’d try one or two more times before I rule out bad luck as the culprit. 😀
I had this same exact issue installing the same grips with rubbing alcohol. One side dried, other side never dried, even after letting to sit for a couple days.
I took the grip off completely and wiped out the alcohol, and let it sit to dry completely. Then I reinstalled using the [zip tie method](https://youtu.be/-o52w4ZBRyU?si=DiIdnY8F0NZ1vajv) and had no issues.
You need a very light dust of hairspray. Lubricates it to go on, sets like glue to keep it on.
I hairspray my Oury sets
That’ll square you
Oury grips are airtight. Poke a hole in the end.
did you buy dirtbike grips? they are not the same size
See previous post… spray the e of the grip with hairspray! …solid grip when it dries.
Hairspray, or get more bikes.
Who am I kidding, always get more bikes.
