Hey!

I have bad experience with my seatpost mounted rear rack so I'm currently looking for a better system. (I have a hardtail MTB without any rack mounts on the frame)
I'm searching for a Thru Axle that fits my bike and has rack mount screws.
I emailed Old Man Mountain and they said they probably have the correct axle I should just measure my current axle first.
However in the meantime I'm looking for other options and I found this axle from Veloci:

https://www.velocicycle.com/veloci-m5-threaded-axle

It's available in my axle size but I don't see an option for buying it. Does maybe anyone have experience with this axle?
I'd like to hear about alternatives too!

Thank you in advance!

  1. I got the Old Man Mountain Divide + Robert Axle mounts. Fits with boost spacing if you put the axle attachments on the outside of rack (vs inside as shown in docs). I had to get slightly wider axle with spacers, because my frame design interfered with the connection, but otherwise works great. They were great help sorting me out.

But after all that, I decided it was overkill for my needs, and ended up getting the Mica Rattail Rack which connects to seat stays via pucks. If I was doing a long tour or winter-ride, with heavy load/saddlebags I might use the Divide, but for off-road light and fast loads much prefer the Rattail. And easier to fix a flat without removing axle mounts, etc. I am able to use my Revelate Nano Panniers with it, or anything cages + drybags. Anything larger I would use divide.
