Hi

I had a lucky escape as my Lezyne Brompton pump fell off this morning after going over some bumpy road.

When I installed the pump a few weeks ago, the red O ring wouldn't sit flush, and I think that stopped the pump locking properly.

I tried to straighten out the O ring, as it had ridden up the pump. However, this led to it snapping off.

I am looking for a solution, as I don't want it to come off again.

Velcro straps could be option or a replacement O ring. Lots of people are quite critical of this pump.

I am grateful that it didn't get trapped in my rear wheel and that I heard it fall.

I may go into Brompton Junction to see if they can assist.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I just use Velcro when I attach mine to the bike. Otherwise, for longer runs I have a Outdoor Research fanny pack 5L to store the tools, tire, etc.

I cut up old inner tubes and use them like string rubber bands. I might cut a wider section and see if I can slide it over the pump and frame.
