I had to replace the bottom bracket on my Brompton after a lot of use, as the original one gave out. I installed a Shimano BB-UN300 68mm bracket, but it doesn’t sit completely flush. I'm a bit concerned that I may have damaged the threads, as it was really tough to screw in towards the end. Is that normal?
The crank does turn, though.

Hey! You did this yourself? Generally I’d renew the thread before installing a new one and tap it. In theory it should all just work but that’s the thing about theory. I’d use it and see if it all works. If not, uninstall, have it re tapped, maybe get a fresh bb.
