My 1909 dated M05 and my 1995 dated M93. This is not really scientific and most of it’s just me riding around and yammering away about the bicycles. Good for that person trying to decide on which to buy.
I had a 12speed bike in 1978 I bought at sears it had a rear disc brake it was great for extreme down hill you know the kind that used to turn front brake shoes into little balls on the rim
Altough the swiss Army has no more Bike troops, there are still plenty of bikes in Service. More than 7000 Bikes (05 and 93 Models) are still in use for getting around on large Army Bases and Airports.
As a former Swiss Airforce Security soldier, it has always been a pleasure to get rid of the patrol cars and patrol the Airbase casually on a Bike during summertime.
As a swiss , i can say, that is the completest package i have seen yet. Congrats. and yes, our Bicycle troops have been considered "Elite". The bicycles too. they roll extremely well.Might be the weight though.
Yes the Swiss are renowned for there Alien experiments, why only the other day as I was yoddeling from on top of the Jungfrau out popped an Alien being chased by a mob of enraged Scientist in hasmat suits..!!
Nice bicycle, but please remove the bag from the frame, it is NOT a bicycle bag, it is just a laundry bag and it looks unprofessional. There are some nice reproductions of the original bag for 150€. I also have a "ordonanzrad 05". My one is from 1944 and in original condition. I love that bike. Sorry for my English. Greetings from Germany.
You should check out the Priority 600X. It is the ideal bike for military off road riding. Can carry a lot of weight as it's built for rough off road riding.

interesting bit of history. I didn't know bicycle troops were still being used.
I bet if you had done this video before picking up your truckload for guys, you'd have had to pick up a few more. 😉 Probably at least for me.
Fascinating……thanks for sharing.

Now that's what I call a bicycle, and in such great condition !

You should put on an original frame bag… and not this ugly every soldier hand bag
I don't suppose you were at the reenactment in tidioute pa this year, were You? Saw a nearly identical bike there. Cool video.

Px4 storm?
Give similar bikes to modern cyclists… so they would complain even more about the weight.
I’d love one of these.
How much will one of these bikes cost because I'd like to own one of them because I think this type of bike is a work of art I would love to own one

Is the MO93 free wheel or fixie?
I have one like this. I love it.
What would be a modern version of these?
Thinking about one of these myself. Can the seat height be adjusted up? What is the wheel diameter?
I would love to have one of those bikes they are awesome in the video was cool as hell

Would this be a good bike for long legged fellas?
I NEED IT
I found an m93 with the trailer stretcher and bought it for $700, which I'm sure you know is an insane deal. I love it. Best bike I've ever had.
You still riding? Got to keep on trucking!
Great! Location please.
Fire.
Short steep hills would be no problem, you get into attack position and go ham. That or you walk the thing up.
It's those long stretches of road with a mild incline that get you
Nice bikes! How wide is the centre bag? I’m building a wooden one for my old Raleigh.

What was the wheel size?
Most underrated bikes
Check out the US 25th Infantry Bicycle Corp of the 1890s. They made a couple of epic cross country rides before eventually being disbanded.
I don’t see nothing
"BIKEPACKING" has been around a long time.
