Greetings everyone, so I recently got an old used Specialized BigHit 2005, it’s got this heavy duty Manitou rear shock, with a 250×3.0 spring. I’ve tried to make some adjustments to the rebound and compression but it still kicks back like crazy. Is it the spring that’s too stiff, does the shock lack oil or is it just faulty? I really need some help.

Sir it’s from 2005; let it rest well. It’s served its purpose.
