  1. Great decision from TfL. With the massive batteries, home-made modifications and all the fires we've already seen, would've been only a matter of time they caused a deadly fire in a tube carriage in a tunnel.

  2. Sadly those with legal EAPCs are being penalised and tarred with the same
Brush as those taking illegal e-bikes using batteries with no BMS. Yes, mostly delivery riders who want to take on trains these cheap nasty bikes to make deliveries in central London to maximise their earnings. Do the delivery companies actually make checks? Probably not.

TFL staff won’t be trained to tell the difference between legal EAPCs/batteries and those converted or with additional batteries. So they just impose a blanket ban instead on all non folding e-bikes.

No doubt these delivery riders will then just adapt and just find a folding e-bike to convert and we’ll then have a fire incident involving them so they’ll end up banning them too.

Basically then we’ll end up with all li-ion powered bikes being banned – e-scooters, EAPCs, Ebikes, E-Unicycles.

  3. This is just a stepping stone to licensing e-bikes. You'll need a licence and insurance to ride one soon, and modifications will be forbidden.

  4. our government are geniuses , they want more people using electric bikes ect yet they ban the ebikes, i do not understand how their mind works, it's so counterproductive, if they want to stop the ebikes being modified then stop importing and start making things within our own country but of course they won't because of net zero and un industrializing and they wonder why our country is struggling

  5. the rule for ebikes and escooters needs to made to one set rule as near me i have 2 different bus comapines stage coach can be on if you remove the battery, but arriva say it has to be folding bike and no scooters. but booth work in the same area

  6. Unfortunately, they cannot tell which bikes have been illegally modified. Therefore, it seems they are going to enforce a blanket ban on all e-bikes. I cannot see what the option is. If the bikes are illegal, they should be confiscated. One undertook me when I was driving at 40mph. That's just crazy. He wasn't even wearing a helmet.

  7. this is fine. there's not really space on the tube. many of these people (wonder why some people are working these jobs…) are willing to use illegally modified vehicles which are dangerous for them and those around them. it's within the right of the state to crack down.

  8. Very good video as always that’s the new rules on e bakes is not very clear I think you have one coming in Glasgow, but we have the same problem as you in London. The rule is not going to be clearer and people won’t listen.

  9. In The Netherlands, these Porsche headlights are being stolen for heating weed farms. It’s because they heat stuff very well while staying really cool so they won’t get easily detected by police helicopters.
