  2. Bromptons are bloody expensive but that's because they're good quality and handmade in the UK. They're not great value for money upfront but they'll last longer than most bikes at the same price point.

    As an added bonus, if you decide you don't want it any more then the resale value is way higher than most bikes because people know they're good.

As a Dane I don't feel any obligations against Britain and British Products and though my 2019 Superlight bike is now added to with a lot of Eastern Components, it still looks mostly like a Standard version! But it weighs below 9 kilo, even with mudguards. And Brompton has had its time to earn a profit before the end. Finn. Denmark

  4. They are expensive and they require extensive maintenance if they are your everyday ride, i have recently had to dismantle and regrease my hub gear due to corrosion. This is after a year an a half of daily riding. Salt on roads was the cause but a derailleur does have this problem as it is visble and easily oiled. It took three weeks of trial and error.
