Bromptons are bloody expensive but that's because they're good quality and handmade in the UK. They're not great value for money upfront but they'll last longer than most bikes at the same price point.
As an added bonus, if you decide you don't want it any more then the resale value is way higher than most bikes because people know they're good.
As a Dane I don't feel any obligations against Britain and British Products and though my 2019 Superlight bike is now added to with a lot of Eastern Components, it still looks mostly like a Standard version! But it weighs below 9 kilo, even with mudguards. And Brompton has had its time to earn a profit before the end. Finn. Denmark
They are expensive and they require extensive maintenance if they are your everyday ride, i have recently had to dismantle and regrease my hub gear due to corrosion. This is after a year an a half of daily riding. Salt on roads was the cause but a derailleur does have this problem as it is visble and easily oiled. It took three weeks of trial and error.

It better be @ 5 x the price of an actual good folding bike that also brings you to work & home…

Do you know why the Btwin fold is so much better than the Brompton? Folding/unfolding speed and price.
Are there any other folding bikes that can be pushed around like the brampton? And also maybe have twenty inch wheels?
so I buy birdy R 20" 406 be better than brompton
I prefer Helix, a 24 inches folding bike.

Brompton is expensive, ugly but it just works

Using a bike to become strong and healthy but complain when pushing or lifting. Beats me.

Bikes are for riding, not pushing. 16" brompton will break your back if you go long distance or over rough roads due to the small wheel size.
Tern, Dahon, others may have some advantages, but no one can compete with the brompton for folding and convenience. This dude speaks truth.
My Mobiky Genius is faster and better to push around
too expensive compared to Strida
