The actual drug problem was much worse early 80s to early 2000s , the main issue these days is the addicts are much older and are dying off at a very high rate
itโs an incurable emotionally crippling, physical and immoral, selfish disease. But treatable if one admits defeat and admits life is unmanageable. AA/NA/AL-ANON attend regular meetings and overtime the desires to use diminish one day at a time.

Im from Birmingham and i was clean from heroin for a year i was working away in Glasgow and I'd scored heroin within half hour of getting to my hotel room. Its bad up there. I could have scored back home but i had a partner who was on my case. I used for 2 days and stopped before it got out of control. It was shit anyway. Stay clean

Like John brilliantly described it as a big warm cuddle off yer mammy. Then the crack. 43 yrs later i woke up in ma head. What a wasted existence. Clean 2 and a half yr now. I could never go back to the drugs again. Because id die. So the message is. F g leave drugs alone. The country is destroyed and the people in it. Coz of drugs. A hell of a lot is still to be done.
