Among the photos I’ve shared from various EuroVelo routes a few days ago, one that sparked a lot of reactions was taken on EuroVelo 10 during a heavy fog that rolled in over the Polish coast. It was one of those moments when nature takes over and transforms the landscape completely. I’m adding a few more photos from that misty day, along with some from other parts of this section of the route. We wrote a detailed description of it on our blog – maybe it’ll inspire you to plan a trip:
This part of EuroVelo 10 stretches for about 300 kilometers, from Ustka to Elbląg, entirely within the Pomorskie region. It makes up the half of the Polish section of EV10. The character of the route here is quite different from its second half in West Pomerania. In Pomorskie, there are fewer open sea views but more forested paths, a stunning national park with tall dunes and scenic options across two spits – well worth spending extra time exploring.
The route itself has changed a lot in recent years. If you last cycled it four-five years ago, now is a great time to return. Thanks to an EU-funded project, the quality and accessibility of the path have greatly improved, making the experience much smoother and more enjoyable.
