Hey yall 👋 I have a giant talon mtb that I'm looking to outfit for bikepacking. Looking for opinions on what to add and or change for a good experience. I want to run a frame bag, saddle bag, and handle bar bag. My trips will most likely be weekend trips at most. Im going to be on road 80% of the time I'm guessing. Should I get some gravel tires?

Bike is equipped for rack so I’d go that way with either a dry bag on top or small panniers or both. Mezcals and Race Kings roll fast on pavement and are good for light trail too. Frame bags are measured by the triangle size of your frame, there is always one that will fit, just takes some looking. As my bags wear out and require replacement, they’ll all be welded waterproof.
