My Giant Defy's bottom bracket (BB86/92 – 24mm) needs to be replaced which is similar to the one on the left, but I bought a new Thread Together type BB (like the one on the right) which is also a BB86/92 for 24mm – but it does not fit.
So what's the exact name that I should look for if I need to replace my current BB?

What cranks do you have?
could you expand on how its not fitting? which cranks do you have?

What you have pictured there on the left side is the SM-BB92-41B
The one to the left is just a Shimano PF BB86 (plastic) $45 and the second is a $130 Wheels Manufacturing press fit metal threaded Shimano BB86. Not to complicate things but there are also one piece press fit metal bottom brackets from places like BBInfinite ($200-$325) and these are my preferred style as long as your frame’s BB is at the correct tolerances.

You need to post a picture of your actual situation and not just the products.
Wel what part isn’t fitting, the crank in the bb or the bb isn’t fitting the frame?
Edit: share some pictures so we can see what’s going on.
If there’s an obstruction how come they were able to fit the original bb? Did they remove or cut the middle sleeve? Hambini has a one piece bb that you have to fit all the way through one side of the frame that why an obstruction doesn’t let it work. In these cases they either file it down or use a two piece threaded bb. Have you tried to press in the driver side cub and it comes into contact? Can you post a picture?
