Could it actually be that the brake lever has come outwards?
If you roll back the hood, there should be a small hex key driven bolt that when tightened will push the lever inboard.
Roll the hood, the red rubber, back. Or maybe forward. There should be a hex bolt attached to a ring clamp that you can loosen.
