I currently have a do everything/go anywhere Surly, but been wanting a road bike for some faster group rides and races. I'm heading to my LBS this weekend to test ride the Allez Sprint Comp and Tarmac SL7 to see how they feel, but the Canyon Ultimate comes with Rival AXS + power meter. Only caveat about that is I can't test it out obv, so looking for some input from anyone who has one.

The Canyon is the best bike here – but all will be more than enough to fully satisfy you. For a first road bike, I would definitely recommend taking full advantage of your local bike shop. I would recommend the Tarmac.
As a lifetime bike shop guy for the love of god don’t buy a damn Canyon. Support the people near you and get a Specialized. If you’re racing and doing fast group rides go aluminum for the value, and it won’t hurt as bad if you crash and wreck the frame.
