I just received this custom frame from Waltly. It looks great generally, but wanted some feedback on a few bits.
The welds on the seat stay seem a little asymmetrical. Is this an issue at all? How about the welds for the brake mounts on the frame and fork?
Also, there's this liiitle ding on the carbon fork. This is totally fine, right?
Thanks!

Pretty darn good 👍🏻
I’d reckon the builder knows exactly what they’re doing.
These welds look really, really good and clean. This guy welds, for sure!
I’m a professional welder and weld inspector, they are excellent.
As everyone else has said, the welds look nice. Is the bike Ti? I can’t see anything with pic 3. Is the nick in pic 4 the way you received it? I would be miffed if that was the case. Not sure if I would make a stink though. And I can’t really comment on its integrity.
Fickin beautiful is how they look
I work in a shop. This is better (at least visually) than like 95% of *all* the frames I’ve needed to inspect welds on. Including American made Ti frames. The only Ti frame I’ve had in hand with better welds than this is from Moots. Which, start at like $5000+ for just the frame, no fork.
I actually just needed to warranty a brand new Ti frame from an American builder because a weld failed, and those didn’t look as good as this.
This is surprisingly good. And, thank you for posting a Waltly up close, I’ve wanted to see these in person for a long time.
Beautiful
They look like shit. Frankly, you should be embarrassed to ride this yet alone post it on Reddit. Since I’m a nice guy, I’ll take it off your hands. You don’t wanna be seen riding junk like this
Awesome welds!
