Hey I’m new to biking but was interested in getting myself a road bike. However I can’t find much information regarding this type of bike and I’m seeing mix reviews regarding it. Should I skip buying this one?
I think that fork is mounted backwards. Unless the photo is skewing my perspective.

Scam? Probably not. Worth it? Probably not.
You could find something better for the same $$.
Looking for single speed specifically?

You can’t buy “road bike” for that kind of money.
Bike looks decent and it’s dirt cheap, what do you need bike for?

Sorry, but if you’re looking for a road bike, keep looking. Things to consider: gear range that suits your area, but at least one with a rear derailleur; disc brakes, but rim are fine if the components are name brand; drop bars—not that it’s unheard of to rideMTB style flat bars on the road, but drop bars are standard; and, as the other comment noted, at least buy a bike that doesn’t have pieces mounted backwards. The only thing that makes this a road bike is the fact that it can be ridden on a road.
