


I tried googling but not even sure what to look for. Are these tabs (the tongue) supposed to be placed where the fork's empty space or at the top of the curve?
I feel like at the top of the curve, itll help prevent the wheel from accidentally fallen out. But it would be bent once i tighten the nut.

Probably not, since the tab is supposed too be against some surface, not in the air.
That said, if it would bend in the other position, you did the right thing, since these tabs are not mandatory at all, that fork might not be designed for tab washers.
Usually those tabs go into a hole above the axle on rigid forks, and that recessed area around the axle is the safety for suspension, so it looks mismatched to me.
What in the China am I looking at?
Most likely not, if you look on the inside of the axle, you’ll probably find a small hole above the axle for that to slot into.
