I recently came into possession of a new to me mountain bike and am trying to identify which model year it is. My dad bought it a couple years ago for himself thinking he would use it but never really picked up the sport. I decided I would give it a try and see what mountain biking is all about. I’ve been an avid road cyclist for a couple years now but never dipped my toes into mountain biking. From everything I can tell it is a Santa Cruz Bronson CC. I don’t know which year it is though. I am wondering if someone can let me know if this is a good starter mountain bike or should I look for something else. The bike is a size large and I am 6 foot. (The fourth photo is a picture of the serial number. I don’t know if that helps or not).
Thanks in Advance!
Sorry for breaking rule 3. I just got the bike and haven’t been able to take it out riding yet.

I also can’t say what year it is, but dude you’ve hit jackpot. This is a seriously nice bike! If it has been standing somewhere for some years, I would maintain fork and damper so you have fresh seals in them and I would check the tyres for dry rot.
For the rest: have fun!
It’s a 2015 or 16 Bronson cc with a pretty good spec for when it came out (minus that crazy stem lol). Modern bikes in the same category will feel pretty different to it but it’s not a bad bike. I would certainly get some different tires on it though, something a little beefier.
It’s a 2018 Bronson CC from Santa Cruz. Here’s the geo chart link [https://www.santacruzbicycles.com/pages/product-support/bronson-2](https://www.santacruzbicycles.com/pages/product-support/bronson-2)
