Very quick shakedown ride to test out the new bar tape and saddle.

I was on here a couple of weeks ago requesting suggestions for both tape and a saddle. I wanted to update everyone on the final selections!

Brooks C17 Carved for the saddle and Camp and Go Slow Western Rattler for the tape. It's gonna be a good season!

Full disclosure this is my second ride on the tape. It has great grip, even when my hands were starting to get sweaty. It's really nice, because the grip comes from the texture, not a natural tackiness. So when it's wet, there's no tackiness to be washed away. But the texture isn't rough on hands without gloves.

The saddle is still on probation since this was the first ride and it was incredibly short. Plus, I was wearing different shorts than I usually do with a different pad, so not apples to apples. However, I can say with confidence that it's no worse than what I had on there previously and I'm pretty sure it's going to end up being better. Hopefully I'll get a chance to go for a longer ride in the next week or so because my first race of the season is in 2 weeks!
