Here we go folks we are here with John who’s been on the streets of Norwich for how long? 4 monthd. He went to prison for stealing a sandwich…. Vlog in text: That’s come I’m homeless got mental he he’s got mental heal so why are we at here so you had an accident yeah a bike accident you were on a bike you would probably drun right um thought me sh shot um to jail went to prison come what happened pron oh no money so um I got some s the sh got Sal at the shop cuz I starve you and obviously got prison so how long did you do not not long um about 18 weeks not 18 weeks not long so yeah um yeah it’s quite hard every day every days born I’m a kind of be every day I got no Dr habit or nothing like that so it’s hard got no family left my mom dad dead I was 15 uh got no no family no family at all so it’s hardly day been here yeah all right and uh so you said you came back from prison and that was it you you ended homeless how long you been homeless then I’m four 4 or five months 4 or five months quite a long well cu no hospital take me I don’t know why but it’s they hard to get into I was in the hub for a while in the hub but rubbish that’s why s here begging today get some tring get food later on cold norch no Somerset Somerset yeah yeah you ended up how how did you end up in norch mom got married years ago over she got married in over in um suff you know over there

yeah yeah all right and if there’s any advice you could give to people like stay away from John stay well tr get yourself s don’t be homeless cuz it’s no good no good be on the streets is it no no good at all so it’s no good to be on the streets no most like
up yeah and if there’s somebody want wants to help you somehow is there a phone number for you or no email nothing like that no no how to how to get hold of you I’m here every day every day and what you call this place um Riverside Road Riverside

Bad choices as In not engage with services to get self into a position where he be able to maintain a property/dwelling space .
Perhaps this homeless British man should get in a dinghy and come ashore on a beach in Kent and he will immediately get a room in a Hilton or Novotel hotel with 3 meals a day and spending money and access to NHS that the taxpayer subsidises. Bloody madness
I find it hard to believe he doesn’t know why , more like he doesn’t want to share why . As other will likely agree. But rest assured – there is a valid reason . Probably along the lines of daily class A user , rent arrears or unable to keep a place in reasonable order. Or bad behaviour due to whatever reason . Alcoholism, mental health etc. Facilities should not have to bear that or may not be able to. Although the gov should be providing some type of shelter suitable. If he wants somewhere he needs to accept treatment and engage with services, If he chooses not to maybe he needs sectioning as not making sound decisions, but maybe if of sound enough mind and or not at deaths door has the right to make bad choices still. (This was my first comment which keeps getting deleted ?! )
its not that hostels dont take homless people its the fact that they don't want too get into one because if they do they wii have too follow the rules if they go into one the hostel thats why most of the stay on the streets so they can carrying on with taking there drugs and so the can keep asking for change
a lot of the dont even try hard enough too get help most if them ara far more interested in making money too feed a habit
