My budget for my first nice road bike is(was) $2000. I'm after a smooth but fast endurance bike that will take me anywhere. I was looking at Domane AL models on Treks website but they're out of stock or the colors suck, so I looked at shops around me and came across this.

Now I know that I don't need a carbon frame and I know that it's probably a waste of money, but everything else about the bike is exactly what I want, 105 groupset, disc breaks, high end comfortable, endurance/distance road bike.

Just 500 more than alloy or aluminum frames I've looked at.

Whatchall think? Should I send it

I mean the sl5 will be a lot nicer than the alloy frames but the alloy isint bad its worth the extra bc of the heavy discount. But if you got a deal on the al5 that would still be a good ride dont overthink it either way will be good and the first thing you should put on it is a bunch of miles

Send it if you can stretch your budget. You get a great bike and it’ll be brand new. Carbon frame, 105 mechanical and hydraulic disc is great combo for that price these days.

I’ve owned a few endurance bikes and the only one I liked better than my Domane is my Synapse but it’s negligible.
