Looks like just the derailer hanger snapped, if you can remove the metal piece still on the derailer itself then it shouldn’t be that costly of a fix at all

Luckily you have only broken the replacable derailleur hanger. They are frame specific so if you Google your bike brand and model you’ll be able to find one. A local bike shop will be able to sort it too for not too much money.

  3. Not typically expensive, you can order the part online, and do it yourself. However, it might be a good idea to take it to a shop so they can figure out why it happened, unless it was something you did, like dropped or bent it or something.

  4. It’s just your hangar. This is ment to break in the event of you hitting your rear derailleur.
But hangars are generally frame specific, so just be sure you find the right one. They’re pretty cheap, and any decent shop can swap it in a few min. You can also try it yourself, but even new hangars need to be aligned slightly, and you’ll need a special tool for that.

You need to find a new derailleur hanger for your bike, they are frame specific. They are usually bolted on the frame from the left side of the dropout with something like a hex 3 bolt. If you take your wheel out you should be able to get the old one of. Installation is not hard, bolt the new hanger on, and use a 5 hex to reattach the derailleur. You might want to check if the derailleur is still ok since that has taken a hit.

  6. Probably one of the best parts to have broken on a bike, if something’s gonna break.😐

You broke a bike part. Cheap, quick & easy fix. Google derailleur hanger + make, model of bike.

I carry a spare derailleur hanger with me when on bicycle tour, not to fix myself, but just so I don’t have to wait to have one ordered when I take the bike to get fixed.

That being said, order two hangers.

It’s very cheap, this piece is designed to break instead of the frame breaking. For me, as a Brazilian, it’s more or less 15 reais, converted into dollars it’s more or less three dollars. Note, you can change it yourself, you don’t need any experience as it doesn’t affect the exchange rate adjustment.
