    Remove the collar and check it for burrs. If its threaded you’ll need to re-tap it and probably either run a die down the axle or use a thread file to clean up the thread. It’s fine thread, so if it’s not perfect it’ll bind. A touch of anti-sieze will help too.

    I’m not 100% sure. But it looks like the end of the thread is damaged. You may have cross threaded it. Get a tap n dye kit. And run it down the thread

    You sure the other side of the hub hasn’t backed off? If it’s the same on the other side, it might too loose shifting the axle off centre exposing a non-threaded section of axle on this side, meaning you can’t thread it on more.
