You can cycle from Camberwell in south London to Waterloo entirely on quiet streets and protected cycle lanes.
The route is 4.8km long (3 miles) and makes use of the Brunswick Park LTN, C27, C7 and C10.

Such a great channel!
Thank you, Mate!
Thanks!
That’s what I hate so much. Like LTN’s are the reason for drivers like the red car. People have the audacity to complain about the inconvenience of closed roads which no one else benefits apart from drivers to ratrun. I do feel for you and your son, because if someone endangered my child, I’ll put the driver in danger, they can exactly what they put out because they will never learn. So many of these drivers are cowards and would get scared of riding in London traffic. I never understand reckless driving towards cyclists, and it one of my pet hates. I asked one lady why she closed passed me outside of Burgess Park to just park further down the road and she said sarcastically, “I didn’t see you there” so I just lost it cause it hit a nerve and it got to me. I started smashing up her car while she was still in it. She was speechless, and wasn’t so vocal and didn’t even tell me to stop doing it. Her mental agility was non existent, and clearly wasn’t combat trained as the last thing you do is to not escalate the situation by provoking the other person. Many drivers lack awareness or don’t care about the impact of their reckless driving on vulnerable road users, she was one of many. I was already threatened by her manner of driving when she close passed me so I was in the fight or flight, full of adrenaline, then provoked that reaction she brought from me, she brought onto herself. Midway through attempting to take my anger out on her car, the passenger called for help and a 6ft 4 guy grabbed me and I just told him to let go. He was old and I’m not beating an old man. I was then surrounded and it turns out, I’ve seemed to gate crash a funeral which is even worse for the driver. I leave, I say some pretty disrespectful things but essentially giving back what I was given but harder.
I’ll never comprehend how you can endanger my life to get to a funeral to save no time at all, then joke and provoke when being questioned about your reckless driving on a residential street near to a park. Bearing in mind that driving like that causes more of the leading causes of deaths for people my age, while going to funeral. Essentially, she is joking about potentially killing me by joking about not making observations which is one of the greatest contributions to traffic collisions.
Thanks for another great video in the sunshine. The comment you made at Rodney Street "make sure they are stopping before you put yourself in harms way" should be the motto for every cyclist rather than the "hope for the best" that I see regularly.
Why not have wing mirrors on your handlebars for just this kind of situation? 8:15
🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽
Riding with you is therapy! Thank You.
Should really report that driver of the red car (SK69 JYU) for close pass and careless driving, otherwise they will do that to another cyclist, which could end up worse.
Welcome back from holiday!
I paid for an annual subscription — ride with GPS.
However I didn’t realise Kamoot was sold off which is a tad frustrating.
I tend to botch by my cycle routes with Kamoot (locally) originally using ride with gps then make small adjustments.
Then upload them to ride with gps as it offers turn by turn navigation on the Garmin as Kamoot you have to upgrade for that.
Slight faff lol
Always settle down for a great and strangely interesting virtual-commute when I hear the tagline “Herrr-low, and welcome back to…” 😀
8:57 is a chilling reminder that the nicest of rides can quite easily go south in a flash because of one idiot driving a car. Anyhow, on a more positive note, great video and ride as always!
Well I never. Been over those crossings on New Kent Road hundreds of times and never noticed that only one was a toucan. Weirdly the north side pavement used to have shared use signs in one direction and no cycling in the other – not sure how that works. I also use keyworth st/Lancaster St to skip one set of lights and the horrible protection on Southwark Br Rd
Why is a white person in london? LoL
The App Footpath may work
Excellent video my friend thank you as this was very refreshing to watch & very informative with your own personal take, good day sir 👊🏾👍🏾
What seat did you get for your child? Also have a 2 year old who I think would enjoy being on the back
I like video. tells me lots about London and just moved here
