Saw this on SF craigslist in rotten condition for $200 and had my buddy pick it up for me within an hour of it being posted (now living in small town Oregon where it can be locked up without a 2nd thought). I stripped it down to the frame and fork, and did a miserable job touching it up with some white spray paint. If you can imagine, it looked worse before! Got the decals for a respray but I don’t think I’ll ever bother. I like the shittiness.

The build looks precious but loads of these parts came from my collector buddy’s stash for very little (that wheelset was $60!), and various parts bikes that I’ve purchased and made my money back on. It was cheaper than your hardrock with discs probably 🙂 <3 I did order some custom DOOM bars that are 780mm, 50 degree backsweep, and 50 degree rise. I like ‘em! To cap it all off, it came from a bike shop in my home town of San Carlos (which we got priced out of several tech booms ago lol).

Fuck yeah! I LOVE the shittiness – what a great rider you’ve built. Cool you found something from close to home too.

Excellent details and thank you for the complete parts listing. Well done!
