Seller is asking 250. I have been riding a giant fastraod ar 2 for the past year but I want to be faster would this be a good pickup for me? Does anyone know what this bike is called? Seller just said vintage cannondale. Any help would be much appreciated.

250 Canadian is reasonable, not sure bout US though.
If all is there and it is in good condition I don’t see why not. It is probably 90% as capable as a new bike for 10% of the cost. Buy it.
Cannondale is an extremely solid manufacturing, top of the line. Now that is an old bike so you do have to learn to appreciate relics of the past.
With older bikes there’s probably maintenance involved
Go check out the bike, see if anything is loose, like hubs, headsets it shifts correctly.
Personally I wouldn’t think about it too much and just buy it
