FB marketplace £30 bargain This is xbiking?

I’m a sucker for old school mtb and saw a Trek up for sale on marketplace
Found it was two streets away
It had been stored under a tarp for years
The seat was torn
The tyres crumbled away
Every single alloy surface was white with corrosion
And control cables rusted solid
But the paintwork looked promising

Totally stripped down and rebuilt using some new parts but mainly parts bin.
It’s my perfect local commuter
Yes the lock cost more than the bike.
