Muddy Fox’s are so cool! Congrats! That pad at the junction of the top tube and seat tube is a shoulder pad, so you can throw the bike over your shoulder and…. walk around with it I guess.

The shoulder pad is for what used to be called “hike a biking” so you’d carry your bike while climbing over rocks or whatever that you couldn’t traverse by the bike.

Pump peg behind the seat post. Don’t mess with it.
Back in the day, mountain biking was assumed to include lots of hike-a-bike. Hence the shoulder strap.
