Wondering if this can be easily replaced fixed thru Canyon (like, send me the part) or perhaps fixed through LBS?
Sat down hard on my seat while descending some rough trail (I’m also 230lbs). Seat wouldn’t stay up. Finally pulled off and removed the seat post and heard the telltale tale sound of a screw dropping thru the tube (😫).
This is the result. Plastic housing wrapped around the internal post is broken. My buddy was able to use grip tape off his bars to hold the plastic piece in place and line the bolt up with the metal plate insert and shockingly it lasted another 400 miles, no problem.
Thoughts on replacement or tape it up and go forward?
