    what you are aiming for us enough clearance, that you don’t get little rocks wedged between tire and seatstay or rack, as this can become anreal risk.

  2. My partner is on his second (via the lifetime guarantee) if they use it with only 1 pannier it rubs on the wheel and wears away the rack. He managed to snap his the first time.

    I never understood all those clearance concerns. If the clearance is double of the tread height, you are fine. If it’s muddy and stuff sticks to the tire, it’s bad regardless of clearance.

    Why is your rack so far back? Heel clearance? Ideally, the center of gravity of your panniers should not be behind your rear axle, mine are far back too, but I have size 50 shoes.
