  1. I have a pair of Elite Wheels Edge and super happy. I got the 50mm version but there are other options offered

Not really an advice, but I am in the same situation as you. I am currently between the Zipp 303s and the Leeze CC50 Basic.

Get deep 50mm or even 60mm rims and accept that sometimes you have to live dangerously to look cool.

Take a look at Elite Wheels Drive (directly on their website) not AE. With the recent launch of Drive II, they’re running 20% discount on previous Drive gens. It comes at 1260g and they provide custom wheel options (30,40,45 depth)

  5. I think 45mm-50mm deep is pretty optimal looks wise with the ultimate/endurace. Deeper stuff for aeroad and speedmax. Needs to match the frame tubing 🤌

Get a set of deep carbon wheels and use your old front wheel on windy days. I’m same as you, 135lb, and hard crosswinds aren’t fun on 50mm. I have a cheap 30mm for the front to use when it’s gusty and it makes a huge difference.
