I run pedals that are the same as the premium alloy but they are plastic with metal pins

It ain’t a brag to say you give yourself a spinner every pedal stroke. But really, that’s impressive wear!

Ive always had a preference for alloy pedals for the grip and strength/longevity. The loose ball salt alloy pedals i have are amazing for the price. The closest similar pedal is the trey jones shadow pedal, but that one is double the price(sealed i believe) but has some fixed pin which i dont like. With the salt pedals if you wanted to grind them all the pins are removable, and a bit longer.

(Probably 2 years or so on this pair. Still mint.)

  4. Buy better pedals and they could last you years. I have a pair of Burgtec Penthouse Flats from 2012ish on my BMX

I run them until my feet start slipping off the pedals. Only a matter of time until a fast 180 will send you into a slip and roll to the skull bc ive definitely been there done that. Additionally buying new shoes when theres not enough grip to grip the pedals anymore is a given too

i had a pair of alloy jim c’s for 15 years, had an mag pair for several years prior. i dont pedal grind though. i now have an uber cheap set of alloy tree pedals with molded pins. i wanted chrome pedals which is hard to come by. i will probably run them for the rest of my life at this point. i do have plastic odyssey pedals on my fairdale weekender and they are grippier than i expected but i cant fathom running them on a bmx.

Hell I did pedal grinds all the time so probably way past when I should lol. I just eventually got JCPCs with replaceable pins

  9. Well, same as you, if the axle isn’t showing on the grind side I’m not changing them.

Just got a new pair if s&m Hoder pedals and they look nice and chunky, should last a while.
